The ERP and CRM Software Blogs now allow you to assign a person rather than your company as the author of a blog post.
Why is this important?
To combat AI content, Google has said that it will give preference to posts it knows are written by a real person with verified credentials.
We have made changes to the group blog sites to give you this option with the proper schema markup.
The new feature will identify an individual as the author and point Google and Bing to additional information about the author. We have always used schema markup to identify your company as the author of your blog articles. We have now added options to allow you to choose a person as the author of your article.
This new program can dramatically increase your visibility in search.
The feature works best when you have a profile page for the author on your company website.
Here are two helpful articles we have created on this topic: Why Google Favors Human Authorship: Trust and Expertise in the Digital Age
The second article explains how you can set up an authorship page on your company site to support the personal authorship settings on the blog.
Of course, you need to consider how these fit into your company’s strategy and who the author(s) will be. We would be happy to brainstorm ideas with you.
Instructions: How to Use the New Personal Author Schema System to Boost Visibility
From any Blog Post Edit page, enable the new Author Fields by clicking on Screen Options at the top right of the page and checking the box for “Author Fields”.
2) Scroll to the area after your post and look for the Author Fields section. Expand it by clicking on the down arrow.
3) Enter the Author's Name in the First Field.

4) Check the box for Use Alt Author in Schema Markup
5) In the Author Bio field, put the full URL of the author’s bio page on your site.
6) In the Same As URLs section, click the Add Row button and add URLs that further define the author. For example, you can use LinkedIn pages—Wikipedia pages, College or Professional directory pages, etc.
7) Then publish or save your post as usual.
